They are great at attacking and hiding, but once discovered I assume things can easily go wrong if it hasn't been pre-determined what to do. When I played as the assassin class in Guild Wars, I found the assassin was overpowered in ways, but could easily die. In some other games the assassin is usually the weakest class as well.
